Hello! My name is Ally, and I’ve been writing since childhood. Writing has always fascinated me. It’s a way for me to verbalize thoughts and emotions and move other people through just ink on paper. I’ve written multiple fictional stories and I have a deep-seated affection for literature and writing, both fiction and non-fiction.

I’ve tutored students on how to write short stories and taken multiple public speaking classes which have helped me cultivate my own presenting skills. I’ve also coached students on writing school essays, works of fiction, and more. My emphasis for my students is on assisting them in growing and refining their voice in their writing, as well as clearly expressing their thoughts, both on paper and verbally.   • How it works:

    I offer:

    • Editing services: This service can be either stand-alone or paired with a coaching session.

    • Coaching sessions (writing or oral presentation): Each coaching session is $15 for a half-hour call, where we will focus on your area(s) of choice. Let’s get writing!

  • Editing Services:

    Everything from speeches, presentations, and papers. I’ll read your paper and add comments, suggestions, and grammatical corrections so you can refine and streamline your writing. $15 for up to 5 pages, $20 for up to 10 pages.

  • Writing Coaching:

    Advice that is based on guidelines from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) and The Lost Tools of Writing (LTW). I’ll walk you step by step through planning, writing, and revising so that you will gain an understanding of what makes a great paper and how to get to a stylized, eloquent piece.

  • Oral presentation coaching:

    With my guidance, we will practice every part of presenting in front of an audience, from body language and enunciation to eye contact and volume. With my tips and advice, you will learn to speak eloquently, deliver your speeches clearly, and look confident while doing it.
